Are those non-projector headlights? I rather have skinnier tires than non-projector headlights.

i hate driving cars that could really use wider tires the older chevy impallas with 215 sectron width is madening and i can name dozens and dozens of cars that commit this sin.

215 width tires are somewhat undertired for the Accord's weight, but considering its mission of comfort and economy it's not a bad choice especially when you get your first tire replacement bill (I'm sure that Edmunds with their number of super-wide sports cars that constantly get nailed... literally... can understand that). 215 is appropriate for a 200-ish hp 2800-3000 lb. compact car.

That being said, the contact patch width would affect your handling characteristics but I would be hard pressed to say they have a huge effect on your "something-ness". Potentially the only other thing it would affect is steering weight, but with EPS I doubt that's the case.

For a car as advanced as the Passat, the lack of commonly available items, such as projector headlights and USB port, cannot be excused. Yes, safety is no doubt critical but technology cannot afford to be overlooked in any car today.
