Automatic transmission fault - 1992 Lincoln Continental

Hi there I have a 92 lincoln continental it will go into gear but wont change through the gears then whenever you take of the gas comes out of gear will only drive in 1st gear it is a recon gearbo 3yr ago but car has ben standing for 2 can anyone help me thanks

Needs to be looked at by a transmissions shop. If you're lucky, maybe you only have a gummed-up valve body, which would not be too expensive to rectify.
