'08 Jeep Commander Intermittent No Start Issues

My '08 Jeep Commander recently developed intermittent start issues. At times, the lights, windows and all other basic electrical areas of the car work fine although the engine won't turn over. After researching for a couple of hours, I found that many others had the same issue and their fix for it was to clean or replace the solenoid wire/connector which became corroded or had corrosion build up on it (did not have to replace the starter). We will be trying this fix tomorrow and will update with any information. Here are a couple of posts on the Jeep forums that were helpful.
