    "...its six-speed automatic transmission is rather clunky and slow-minded around town."
    This is true, but if you shift the transmission into Sport mode things will liven up a bit.

    Less than 33MPG? We took our 2014 TDI to Albuquerque, and at speeds of 75 or more, it returned 43 MPG. I'd heard the gasser got in the late 30's.
