Nice shine!!!
I use Zaino on my Trans Am and will put it on my Blue Av when I get a chance. Right now I am trying to resolve a problem with a streaking in several cloudy areas in the clear coat on my indigo blue Av. Did you have any of these? After I get that resolved, I will put on the Zaino.
Did you use the clay bar on it before you applied the Zaino? Zaino also has a new product out called ZFX - have you tried this? Supposedly it replaces the need for the Z1 and is something that you put right into the Z2 or Z5 products
Yes ZFX replaces the need for Z1 and allows for near instant cure times...supposedely enhances the shine too...I have not tried it yet since I never had a problem with Z drying here.
You mix ZFX in a small bottle with 1 oz of Z2, Z3, or Z5 and have to use it all within 12 hours..then clean vial to be used again else you have to toss it... Friends say they hate the bottle since they are hard plastic and hard to squeeze so they bought some from local stores instead.
I have not seen any cloudy areas on my Blue AV.
I used the clay bar on some areas to remove contamination from the paint finish that could not be removed using the dawn soap. I did not use it on the whole truck.
I did use the ZFX product. Makes it go a lot faster. I still ran out of time (took over 5 hours to do). Still have to put two more coats on the left side. I used the Z5 product with the ZFX.
What have you used (if anything) on the plastic cladding? Would any of the Zaino products like Z14 or Z16 work on the cladding? The description of what these particular Zaino products should be used for doesn't quite match with the cladding but the Z16 has UV protectant in it. I have also heard about people using some stuff called 303 Aerospace Protectant but I don't know that much about it.
I use both on the plastic depending on the mood I am in. They give it a matte shine. Make sure with either product you let it sit a bit than buff off excess to prevent drips from morning dew.
