    Is it common for a fuel gauge to have the full tank indicated by a fraction? "1/1" seems a little silly to me. And wait, what does "R" mean?

    1/1 and R. That's the way Germans have been doing it for years. R is for Reserve - you still have x amount of fuel left when you hit R.

    @legacygt. Makes complete sense to me, but it's still a little goofy haha. I've honestly never seen that before, then again I've never driven a mercedes.

    It looks like the fuel gauge on the CLA reads "0," "1/2" and "1." I think that's clearer than this.
