99 Ford Ranger turns over, but won't take fuel and dies.

Had this truck for years and its been great... but heres my problem. Truck turns on. idles fine at first, when gas is pushed it starts to miss and eventually will die. turns over fine, but wont keep running. have noticed that at the same time this started, the battery indicator light inside is on and stays on. am desperate to figure out the problem. will give any specifics i can if someone will give me some advice

Im not a car/truck mechanic, but sounds like something in your fuel line, like a clog or something. I could be wrong though.
