Problem...
The automatic transmission makes a makes a noticible 'Jolt' or 'Clunk" sound only when I place
the gear shift into Drive (D) position. The vehicle is drivable and was making a noticible hesitation when it shifted into a higher gear but that is intermittent. When the engines running and is parked, with my foot on the break and I place the shifter in all gears, one at a time, it only makes the 'clunk' sound in the Drive position. There are no lights 'fault lights' enabled on the dash. Could this be a defective 'Knock Sensor"? Any assistance is appreciated. Paul....
