The Z06 manual car is not rated for 29 mpg. Those numbers are for the base Singray.

Major fail on part of General Motors: Dodge Hellcat weights 1000-pounds more and is shaped like a barn's door, yet it is only 1MPH less efficient (22mph HWY, 13mpg City). Moreover: the Hellcar manages to achieve that without Z06's complicated and failure-prone gadgetry such as 4-cylinder econobox-mode, VVT and DI.

Major fail for GM? That's funny. The Vette is the most affordable high performance vehicle made.
Period. Any truely competitive vehicle sells for well above 100K.
And in some cases over a quarter million.
If you are shopping for high performance, MPG isn't a major factor.
Just to compare, I have a 275 HP Trailblazer that only gets 15 MPG.
I'd take 650HP & 23 on the highway all day.

    Right.....
Except unlike a 250k or a 100k car the Corvette interior looks a bit like a 1980 CHevy Cavalier...
