Chevy S-10 no start. Computer?

have a 96 s10 2.2 74000 miles ran like always till the other day shut it off the next morning cranked over just fine but would not start went to napa got scan tool code came up p0600 took the battery cable off for 30 minutes or so started up fine once running will restart fine when it sets will not start again can somebody please help me

    P0600 is a Serial Communication Link Malfunction. Since the battery reset didn't solve the problem, it may be a wiring problem, a short, disconnected wire, that sort of issue. You're probably going to need the help of an auto tech who has the diagnostic tools needed to see what's going on.

    This code can set from low ignition switch voltage. Test for a voltage drop to PCM pins:
    Pin 5, C1 pink. Engine fuse 15 (20 amp)
    PIN 2 , C2 pink. Comes from IGN fuse 10 (20 amp)

    If the ignition switch is failing you will find lower than system voltage on those fuses during one of the events. (Simply leave the key on, and measure the battery voltage, then move just the positive lead of the voltmeter to these fuses and compare the readings to the battery voltage)

    BTW. That would also mean that the information of disconnecting the battery and getting the car to start is misleading.
