Problems with Entourage electric sliding door

I have an 08 loaded entourage. The sliding door on the drivers side won't open by itself. it doesn't seem to release properly from the back lock and binds before clearing the side of the van. If I pull the handle all the way out manually to trigger it and hold it for about 1 second it will open fine. This 1 second allows the back of the door to come out and travels fine the rest of the way. It also closes just fine. It is not the motor, since you can see the door push against the jam and the motor basically comes to a stall and shuts down. The door then visibly relaxes and I have to manually reopen it and it runs fine.

Found an old discussion from 2008 here in the forums where owners are talking about their Hyundai Entourage Sliding Doors Problems Poked around online as well, and problems with control modules seem to keep being mentioned.
