Like Scott, Knight Rider made me a big fan of digital gauges. Funny how technology is finally catching up with KITT. They may not admit it but I bet KITT has been the inspiration of a lot of tech we now have available. GM clearly channels Knight Rider when they come up with Pursuit Driving Mode for their police cars and the upcoming Super Cruise for Caddy. Kinda like how Motorola admits that they designed the flip phone after Star Trek's original communicator.

Not to mention the Voice Recognition so prevalent in the industry. If only those systems were as witty (and intuitive) as KITT. I would use voice commands if William Daniels was the voice responding to my inputs.

I may be 23 years old, but I loved watching reruns of Knight Rider and I have driven a C4 Corvette (1994 Corvette with the 350 and 6-speed manual)

Those awful digital dashes on the first few years of the C4's (combined with the skip shift feature and 4 speed manuals) are one of the reasons I wouldn't own one even though you can pick one up quite cheaply today.
