I couldn't find a separate thread for 2015 Honda Civic prices paid and buying experiences so wanted to create a new thread for it.
I am in the market looking for a 2015 Honda Civic EX and was wondering what people are paying/paid for this vehicle. I would appreciate if people can share their experiences and other details that will help the aspiring buyers. I am located in Northern California.

Not necessarily specific to the Civic, but a discussion on Honda extended warranties:

MSRP $25,455(including transportation)
Invoice: $23,930.90
Internet Price/Selling Price: $21,695 OTD=$23,809 $0 down ; rate= 0.9% @60 months Dealership is Stockton Honda if anyone is interested. It was a easy transaction with no surprises. The internet sales manager and other staff were very professional & helpful.
Also, received quotes for Honda Auto Care Extended Warranty from online Honda dealers for 8Y/100K(D80) & 8Y/120K(D82). The best quotes were from Hyannis Honda but they don't sell the coverage for California. The next best was Saccuci at 985 & 1110 respectively.
I bought a new 2015 Civic EX Sedan in Urban Titanium Metallic from a dealer in the Atlanta, GA metro area on 12/13/2014.
Vehicle price - $18,974.00
Accessories (door edge film, wheel locks, trunk tray, mud guards) - $674.59
Doc Fees - $599.00
TAVT Tax - $1,366.71
Title Fee & Lemon - $80.00
TOTAL COST OUT THE DOOR - $21,694.30
I ended up putting $10,000 down and financing the rest through Honda for 60 months at 0.9% financing. My monthly payments are $199.47.
Overall, I'm very happy with the deal. I had emailed all of the dealers in the Atlanta area, and got a few responses (some of which were just patently absurd). I took the cheapest option (from a dealer in the suburbs) to the dealer nearest my home (in Atlanta), since they said over the phone that they'd price match. It turned out that their offer to match the deal was bogus, so I walked out. I ended up driving the the dealer that had emailed me the original best offer and was able to get it slightly lower than the emailed amount.
Best quote I've got on a 2015 EX here in the general Sacramento area this week was $19,400. One of them had a couple of still new 2014's for $1k less at $18,400 so I purchased one. Two other dealerships I dealt with who still had 2014's in stock wouldn't touch that price. One of them got mad when I forwarded them the quote. They said Honda incentives ended on 01/05 and had no idea how they could offer that price. Then they disparaged the lower priced dealer and said they were probably old units with added dealer accessories and I would be forced to purchase them & protection packages in order to get that price. Of course none of that was true. I already had made sure no accessories etc. Car was mfg 09/2014 and only 11 miles on the clock.
OTD price was $20,217. Put $5k down and financed the rest at 0.9% for 60 months, Payments are $260 month. Hope that helps someone.

Of course, True Car prices need to be reduced by $300 or so to account for the fee they charge dealers for every sale through them.
Just one example of the deception possible when dealer's employ a large document fee deception. Fact is the dealer document fee is simply the selling price separated into two components, price and document fee. By doing this the dealers believe buyers will not negotiate the doc fee, which increases their profit and increases the buyer's cost. Dealers use the word fee to lend some legitimacy to the amount. Sad part is our elected officials allow them to get away with this deception.
Anyone interested in an honest dealer's perspective on these fees should google EarlStewartOnCars.
The best way to price a vehicle is to take invoice, reduce that by dealer hold back, and further reduce by any incentives offered by the manufacturer both to the customer and the dealer. Then add a fair profit, say 3 percent to start. Negotiate up from that amount, not down from MSRP.
Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is, and how they calculated that number from the selling price.

Just leased a 2015 Honda Civic LX Manual Transmission 24/12k at $16,400.
MSRP = 19,310
Money Factor = .00041
2 year RV = 66%
3 year RV = 60%
Title + Doc + Acquisition Fees = ~$1100
Utilized $900 dealer cash and $500 Honda Grad Program
No down, no first month payment, 23 payments for 24 mo at ~$213, with a $350 turn-in fee.
I believe 36/12k not changing anything else would be about $180/mo for 35 mo.
Though keep in mind I probably could have pushed the cap cost down a little bit--there also was another same model on the showroom (keep in mind--end of month and end of quarter) going for $16,166 but it wasn't the color I wanted. Also the sales guy was a solid dude, so I wanted to help him out even though the finance guy was kind of a prick.
Here are the details about my 2015 Honda Civic EXL 36 months 10k with 0 down at signing + DMV registration fee that I closed today :
MSRP = 23,660.00
Acquisition Fees = 595.00
Gross Capitalized Cost of Vehicle = 22,422.43
Residual Value = 13,959.40
Miles = 30 K in 3 yrs
Monthly Lease Payments = 250 x 35 months
Total Cost of Lease = 23,265.90
First Month Installment + Doc Fee = $600 paid by dealer.
Rental / Lease Fees : 535.00
Gross Capitalized Cost Reduction = 0
$0 down at the time of signing lease.
Location : NJ
Money Factor : 0.00041
I hope I got a fair deal. This forum helped a lot to understand lease terms/tricks.
Can someone please review the details and provide inputs if this is really good deal?
Could you provide the money factor and residual for the 2015 Honda Civic Coupe EX for 15k/24months?
Thanks
