    Who signed off on the engine start button?! It could have at least been aluminum like the adjacent switches.

    That thing is hideous.

    And it looks cool. Agreed the ignition button is ugly. Could have been a lot better in plain red.

    I actually liked the start button when I first saw it; but in terms of why it looks that way, I imagine a pack of lawyers are responsible for that.

    Preserving the dignity and appeal of the manual transmission, good work. Liking the toggle switches as well.

    But...is that fake molded stitching on hard plastic ala 2012 Camry along the center stack, or is it soft touch?

    emajor, that is fake molded stitching on soft touch vinyl along the center stack. If you get the premier trim, the vinyl soft touch coverings over the upper IP have contrasting color real stitching. However, the fake stitching remains on the center stack.

    I noticed that the base Mustang GT does not have the shiny toggle switches. Instead, it has traditional black/grey plastic buttons.
