Auto Sliding Door won't close shut

The driver side auto sliding door will not close to, if I press the button on the key fob it moves slightly then makes the noise as if its locking, if I close the door manually it will not shut all the way to, and it will not lock. Anyone got any ideas? It opened fine this morning, but then when I came to close it, it wouldn't lock??

I assumed you checked the track for any obstructions that may be lurking down there. Since it's the driver's side, I wonder if there's something going on with the gas tank flap. It the car thinks it's open it won't let you open the driver's side power door.
