Tach registers well below Zero - '03 TT

My tach is working but not synced at Zero (0) - its tip dropped to vertical in down position. It works but not registering correctly. Battery new 6 months old. Speedo works. Are there multiple fuses for the tach? Or is it the speed sensor (that does not make sense since the speedo is working correctly)....need help. Thanks.
