    Travis, I think you gave yourself a pretty tough task to match the highway MPG rating. The EPA testing is probably done with a lighter base model using better fuel and no junk in the trunk. I just bought a 2013 Escape that doesn't have the 19 inch rims, sunroof, power tailgate, self parking, trailer hitch that my wife's has. It is noticeably quicker and gets better mileage. Hers does not feel underpowered in any way, but I'm sure is several hundred pounds heavier. Have you checked to odometer against actual miles? The 2002 Explorer I swapped out for the Escape and my 2013 Fusion both register 2% below actual mileage travelled.

    You did not pull out all the stops "literally." To do that you would need to be playing an organ.

    Thanks for the updates, but how about a simple list of concerns, issues, etc. with the vehicle at this point?
