3 months out of warranty on a Honda wouldn't bother me.. I've almost always done 36mo, 45K leases, so I'm out of warranty, anyway..

Can't really comment on your offer, without knowing the selling price, taxes, if the $1000 is the total amount due at signing or a downpayment + more fees and 1st payment, etc, etc..
