More than a few a you asked whether or not I would buy a C5 Z06 and how it compares to either a new Mustang or an E46 M3. Well, here it goes...

To buy a Corvette, you have to want a Corvette. Bear with me, because unless you own a C5 Z06, this might not make a lot of sense.

    You're quite right---once you get frisky in the Vette, it will push like crazy on you. Not a very comfortable feeling. But to be fair, this is a problem with most cars that are a) very big and b) very powerful. You get to speed so alarmingly fast, that you end up braking hard into every turn (because you got there so damn quick!). And I wouldn't call the C5 an easy car to balance. So you jump out of the C5 into an M3 or a Lotus Elise and you say "OHHHHH, this is how it's supposed to handle..."
