2015 CRV Touring Nav Map Update

I just picked up a new '15 Touring. I asked the salesman about map updates. He said they were all done automatically via satellite. That didn't sound right to me. Online research appears to indicate that you need an iPhone 5 and some cables that Honda sells for $99. Surely I'm missing something.

    Satellite updates? That doesn't seem possible, unless the car had some sort of cellular plan, similar to On-Star. And, I don't think that's available on a Honda, is it?
