We need a bit more information in order to help you ....

Where are you located?
What lease term and how many miles per year are you looking for?
Do you know the MSRP and the negotiated price of the truck?
Is there a trade in involved?
4x4 or 4x2?

Well ... in Georgia, the entire selling price is subject to an "ad valorem" tax of 6.75%, so that hurts your lease payments right there. Most states only tax the monthly payment.

I'll assume 4x2 ... 36/12 residual is 61% and the 48/12 residual is 52%.

I don't have a 48 month money factor, but for 36 months it's either .00188 or .00199 ($0 down).

We would still need to know the selling price to model a payment.

$492.28 pre-tax for 36/12.  Remember the entire selling price is subject to sales tax in Georgia.

I was quoted $458 for 36/12 based on $41,200 msrp and $35900 advertised selling price with $3K down for SR5 Crewmax 4x2 4.6L with TSS package and I thought it seemed high. Thanks

I don't show SETF offering 10K/yr. Above numbers are for either model.

Can someone help me? I can't figure out how the dealer is getting the lease payment they are for a 3yr/36k. I am looking at a 2015 Tundra Crew Cab Limited 4x4 (MSRP - 45,500). The dealer stated that the sale price would be 42,567.

The Residual they quoted was 64% meaning the the price at the end of the lease would be 29,120 (45,500 * .64)
The money factor was quoted for August 2015 as .00110
My county tax is 10% per month.

So I have the following:

42,567 - 29,120 = 13,447
13,447 / 36 = 373.5278
42,567 + 29,120 = 74,620
74,620 * .00110 = 82.082

So I have 373.5278 + 82.082 = 455.6098 * (.10) = 45.56

For a total of 455.6098 + 45.56 = 501.17/ month with 0 down.

The dealer is quoting me at 569/month with 0 down. Am I missing something? What could possibly cause the payment to be 70 off?

Any help would be appreciated!

Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is .. I suspect there are fees being added into the selling price that accounts for the difference. Make sure you understand what those costs are.

Thank you for the response. I am glad I understood everything correctly. I went back to the dealer and negotiated some more and ended up getting a 2015 Tundra Crew Max 4x4 Limited down to 490/month with nothing down (just plates at signing) so I am very happy with that! It is still a 3yr/36k mile lease.

Don't have any money factors for 2016 models but the residuals are:
1794: 74%/65%
Platinum: 72%/63%

agreed. found the same truck, 1794 actually, at another dealer- same details except residual climbs +1% and purchase price was $45,125. About $598/month incl TTL rolled into payment.

Not sure if I'll pull the trigger though as I have 3 months left on a Mercedes lease and not sure I want to pay out early. Hopefully there are programs on December leases by then.

Hello, I'm potentially in the truck market, wife's lease is up in January on her 2013 accord, she may take my suv and I may lease a full size crew cab truck. It's mind numbing how many incentives are available only further convoluted by the restriction of cab configuration, engine, region etc.

I like the tundra, ram, f150 in that order. What are the 3/36 money dacoits and residual %'s for each of these in crew cab form? And what do you feel is the best lease deal out there on a crew cab truck? Many thanks in advance.

First, I'd recommend you posting specific questions for each model in the relevant discussion - that way, everyone can benefit from the information in the right place.

Second, for the Tundra, what trim level (SR5, Limited, etc.) are you looking for? 4x2 or 4x4? What state? Toyota numbers are regional.

I don't follow pricing all that closely so can't really tell you which is the best deal. But, I will say this - go drive them all and decide which one you like the best. A good deal isn't a good deal if you don't like what you're driving.

The base rate is the base rate. You can't go any lower than that.

The dealership is saying that the lowest money factor is .001735. That's a 4.175% interest rate. That's seems way too high. You can finance at 1.9%. There's no way to negotiate that money factor down to the buy rate? What's the incentive to lease if your going to pay that much interest?

Each model has it's own base rate, set by the leasing bank.

For Toyota pickups, that's always been pretty high. The dealership can't give you a lower rate than the base rate from the bank.

Ok, so you think that looks like a good rate? Or rather, a standard rate on the truck? They are quoting me $680 a month. Here are the numbers they gave me for a 36 month, 15,000 mile lease on a 2016 CrewMax SR5 with upgrade package, safety package, and off road package. 
MSRP: $43,630
Negotiated Price: $42,600
Residual Value: $28,392
Money factor: 0.00174
Tax rate 5% - I'm in WV
 
Doesnt that $680 seem high? I mean, the depreciation is 14272. So the base payment is only $396. Where the heck is the other $285 coming from? The interest would be $123/month. Which I think is insanely high, but regardless. There's still a lot of other money unaccounted for.

I would ask the dealer what the net cap cost is - if higher than the negotiated selling price, ask the dealer what's been added.

I get $545/mo with those numbers.

Also, it's important to note that Toyota deals with residuals differently - the options on the window sticker are not 100% residualized. The residual number we have is for the "base" MSRP - dealers have to look up the 'true' residual on the paperwork for each unit in stock.

Actually, I think Toyota changed that recently... .about the residual calculation. At least outside of the SET region. Normal residual calculation, now.

To answer your question about if it's a good rate, or a fair lease payment. My answer to both is NO. But, not every vehicle comes with a cost-effective lease program.

I didn't think it sounded fair either. Do you know of any 2015/2016 full size trucks that have better lease programs? I'm in WV and am not sure how to research. The listings on the car websites don't give many specifics.

Sorry, my last question wasn't very specific. The other truck that we would consider is a Ford F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 with the 302A package. Do you have the residual and money factor for both a 24 or 36 month with 15,000 miles a year?

4.25% APR and 59% residual

Still not a cheap vehicle to lease.

Would need to know the breakdown of the selling price - I know MD charges sales tax against the entire selling price, which makes leasing comparatively expensive relative to other states.

MF is around .00180. What engine does this have? Turns out there are different residual for the 4.6L vs. the 5.7L engine.
