Brakes on 2010 Prius

I have a 2010 Prius and have 97000 miles and have never had to replace the brake pads.is this normal. I bought the car with 51000 and am not certain that the owner replaced them either.no problems with them.is this normal.thanks jimbo

    It's possible, if the driver is fairly conservative and you don't live in San Francisco B)

    No reason why you can't have them checked during your next tire rotation. When the pad thickness hits around 3 to 2 millimeters, it's "soon".
