Considering the vast gulf between the towing and hauling ratings, drastically higher in the Ford, and the 180-degree difference in the power/fuel economy balance between them, these two are really not competing.

One unexpectedly long service? Oh you mean when they had to replace the ENTIRE fuel system? Edmunds glosses over this issue because it was under warranty but a lot of owners keep the car beyond the warranty period. What would have been the cost had it none been under warranty?

Yeah, BIG difference between owning and being able to drive something that doesn't affect you financially. Imagine if you bought this vehicle and you had to replace that fuel system out of warranty. What would've that cost? Who knows what the future owner is getting with this "refurbished" vehicle. At this point, I just don't get the reasons for buying a diesel vehicle. Additional fuel costs, DEF costs, expensive repairs, fewer gas stations/pumps. Owning a gasoline vehicle is enough drama by itself: you don't need more drama.

Completely agree, it would be really interesting to find out what is causing the "clicking" noise now that they "fixed" it. Or is this going to be a Dodge Dart repeat?
