Can you please run the numbers for me assuming top tier credit: 2015 Pathfinder SL AWD w/ tech package, 36 mo. lease, 12k miles, zero down. Cap cost $35,000. plus california tax 8.75%. The sale price would be $34,100, I'm adding into the cap cost the acquisition fee for the lease.
I pointed out to a dealer that they were inflating their MF even though I have top tier credit. His response? The MF goes up when it's a zero down deal. Does that sound right? the dealer then goes on to say honesty is the best policy.
one more lease question regarding a Nissan Pathfinder. One dealer is giving me both the purchase price and the cap. cost for the same car for 36 mo 12k lease zero down. The spread is $2,472. When I ask them to explain the fees included in that spread I get the "come on down and we'll explain everything - full transparency!" sales pitch. They too are using a MF of .00003 which agrees with your numbers but are using a 50% residual. That's the second dealer here in the Bay Area to use 50% as the residual for a 2015 Pathfinder SL with Tech Package - AWD. You insist the residual is 54% as set forth by Nissan Credit and they insist the residual is 50%. Who's right? The thought of paying $2,472 fee for the lease option is a huge disincentive.

2015 Pathfinder SL 4X4, 36mo, 12K/yr: .00003 MF and 50% residual. These are the March numbers.
Can't calculate the payment without the MSRP. I can't answer the $2472 question for you.... only the dealer can explain those numbers.

The MSRP is 41,080; sale price is 34,100; net cap cost is $36,572 36mo 12k lease with zero down.
what's your reply to a dealer saying the MF goes up with a zero down lease?

what's your reply to a dealer saying the MF goes up with a zero down lease?
We only have one MF for Nissan; dealer is allowed to mark up the MF for more profit. Perhaps they are couching that mark up as a "zero down" thing.
Perhaps another Nissan dealer will be more transparent?

can you help me learn how to do the math when the cap cost is $36,572 and the mf is .00003; 36 mo lease zero down?
wanted to say I gave up on leasing a Pathfinder and purchased a Highlander. I was drawn to the Pathfinder because it was heavily discounted according to TrueCar pricing and the MF according to the moderator here was decent. But every quote I ever got either failed to meet the purchase price I was seeking and/or jacked up the MF despite having an 800+ credit rating. Some dealers would just say "come on down and we'll work it out" blah blah blah. Because the Pathfinder has reliability issues, leasing made sense to me, but because no one would sharpen their pencil - not even close, I moved on.
Thanks @kyfdx , Do you have numbers for 4x4 2015 pathfinder SL as well ? Looking for 36/12 and 24/12 ... Please let me know how much should I add on RV for 10K terms. SL with Tech package has the same RV and MF like SL ?

.00003 MF and 50%/58% residual for 12K/yr.
I don't think that Nissan offers a 10K/yr option, but if they do, the residual will be 1% higher.
Looking for May residual numbers for Platinum and SL 15k/36 or 39 whichever looks better. Actually looking to buy about 20k miles...also what does your crystal ball think about June numbers

.00003 MF and 48% residual (Platinum) or 49% residual (SL).
Depreciation should be (CAP - Residual) / 36 but in the math I quoted the Residual was calculated at 50% of CAP and not 50% of MSRP or the bottom line of the window sticker which is MSRP + Destination and Dealer Add Ons...
right?
Also, can you confirm the Residual percentage on the 2015 4x2 Platinum?(I see RWD and AWD, and maybe RWD is universal for 4x2, but the Pathfinder is FWD)...
Can you provide MF & Residual on a 2015 SV Pathfinder 36mo x 15k ?
The offer I am getting is 2015 Pathfinder SV MSRP $34800 36 x 15k for $350/month with $1700 up front which includes 1st month, DMV, Bank Fee, Cap Cost.

.00003 MF and 55% residual
It looks pretty decent. Which state and what is the tax rate? Does that include tax?
thanks so much for this service, my wife was able to negotiate a deal on an infinity q50s awd that would not have been able in a million years thanks to the tools provided on this forum.
if I have received a quote of msrp 46490 cap cost 38882 for a 2015 pathfinder 4wdsl what kind of money factor/ residuals can I expect to be standard/non inflated for 24/36/39 12/15. Michigan and 6 % what at kind of payments should I be looking at and what kind of out of pockets with those costs. thanks again Michaell for the service that you and Edmunds provide!!

24 and 39 month programs not viable this month. .00003 and 54% for 36/15; add 2% for 12k
