6/32" remaining on your tires after 30k miles = outstanding.

Ah yeah, nothing like a $170 oil change. Geez, 11 quarts. Is this a RAM or a Porsche? I thought it was bad having to buy $25 worth of Mobil 1 + an $8 Honda filter. AAA. LOL.

Thanks for the post, but I'm still having a very tough time believing the treatment you got when the issue first manifested itself and since then are representative of what Joe Average would see.

What about all the other things they mentioned as not acceptable? The transmission fluid, DEF Fluid, and cabin air filter? Did they not harass you to change those? And didn't you just fill the DEF?
Lastly, how is the spare tire tread in the yellow? I don't recall you ever using it? Are they saying its not good from the factory?

nah, the Edmunds.com at the top of all their paperwork couldn't sway people to act differently

I thought they went into these places under regular names to see how the rest of us lived

I'll bet the ticking was caused by a DEF regen taking place. I've heard that same sound on my 2013 2500 Ram - it seems to coincide with extended driving or towing - both of which are prime times for regens occurring.

You mean DPF. And that could be a real possibility. The DPF regeneration raises the temperature if the exhaust to really high temperatures. The ticking noise could be the sound of those components expanding and contracting from the high temps then the subsequent cool down. Great catch truckjunkie, I bet you're right.
