    The disclaimer is fine. Its when it prevents you from entering in locations into your GPS while driving that it becomes nuts. Even if there is a passenger, you still aren't allowed to enter in addresses or points of interest. Insane.

    My 2005-era Acuras also have a lawyer screen. But once you press OK, no functions are crippled when the car is in motion. BTW, if you do nothing for about a minute, the screen goes blank. I've noticed that the current generation of Honda/Acura screens don't have a lawyer screen, but some functions are crippled when in motion. Pick your poison. I prefer the former option, as I can still

    My 2011 GTI has one that says entering data while in motion is hazardous...but only if you try to use the nav while actually in motion. And if you hit "OK" it lets you do it.

    Not true, our Tesla doesn't have any lawyer screen, nor any restrictions on input while moving. I can't imagine spending $2k on a nav option only to be faced with this nonsense.

    Likewise on my mother's 2013 Tiguan. The system defaults to radio on startup and only displays a warning when the Nav function is activated. There's no limit on data entry or anything. That being said, I do wish VW would have enabled voice command for the Nav system; it only controls the phone. Seems pretty limited for a fairly modern car.

    My Leaf has a lawyer screen which requests permission to send telematics back to Nissan. It's a pain, but there's no easy answer to surrendering your privacy other than to ask.
    The Kia screen is for safety. When you're in court asking for a multimillion dollar settlement because you were studying the nav instead of the road, Kia can say "we warned you".

    After I updated the Nav in my Cadenza, the screen started going away on its own after a few seconds of movement. Probably on newer K900s does too. Only problem is that it always goes to map mode now if not acknowledged even if Sat. was last display. Still not exactly happy with it.

    I believe for this car, if you just put it in drive, the screen goes away. It is the world we live in; what can you do?

    My 2015 Chevy Equinox with the MyLink touch screen system has no such screen at all.
