Mazda CX-9 Passenger Power Lock Button

Our Mazda's (CX9 2008 GT V6 automatic) passenger powered door lock (inside) on the door stopped working. The manual button still operates fine (and opens only the passenger's door), but the central lock/unlock is not operational anymore. I read there is a fuse in the box, but since it is one for both power door lock/unlock buttons (one on the driver's and one on the passenger's side) I assume it cannot be the fuse. Someone mentioned to me that it could be the actuator? Is it possible that it got "reprogrammed" but mistake instead?

Any hints?

    You really need a full function (like the O.E. IDS) scan tool to diagnose this efficiently. The right front door lock is controlled by the body computer on its own circuit separate from the rest of the doors. While it is very likely that the problem is with the actuator (part of the latch) the system is capable of generating trouble codes that could assist in reducing the diagnostic time.
