2016 Audi SQ5 lease / purchase = pig in a poke?
After talking with enough Audi dealers, I have found someone willing to order a 2016 SQ5 to my specs with an agreement in writing that it's price will be 6% off MSRP. At this point, they want a $5K downpayment of course to get the ball rollling. I have been told that it's refundable, though specific reasons were not spelled out. I've just gotten the 2016 build sheet, so the MSRP is known, but I have not specified if I'm buying or leasing. If I'm leasing, should I be able to get the deposit back? I'm afraid the dealer is being a "yes man" only to hit me with a trap down the line, like a huge money factor or something else.

But, if you decide to lease and wish to have a lower upfront amount, they shouldn't have any trouble cutting you a check for the difference. The money works out the same.
