Power close door latches are nice, but you are buying them from a company with a long history of having to be forced into necessary recalls, even when the needed repairs are cheap and easy to do. In some cases, Kia doesn't even tell the customer there's a problem at all, leaving the owners of their cars with the bill for extensive repairs/motor swaps.

In theory the warranty should help here, but wait until you try to actually use it: Kia's customer care arm has a one month wait to hear any decisions on the matter. In my case, they contacted me, broke the car more than it already was, left me on the hook for about 30 days, and then said no just as easily as they could have on day one.

When you buy a Kia, you aren't buying quality - you are buying a warranty. But what happens when the company you bought the warranty from is incapable of quickly resolving warranty-covered repairs? What happens to you when the warranty runs out and the car becomes a paperweight because of an easily-prevented engine failure that Kia refused to give you the information to avoid?
