About 280 HP. Ford does not advertise that. Pay a premium for the 4cyl and buy premium gas for the life of the car to get 310 hp. 300 hp on regular with the V6 maybe ain't so bad.

Well not only more HP but when trying for the best mileage ,higher octane fuels will allow better efficiency translating into increased mpg . This only applies to engines designed to run on regular and premium.Thy have incorporated a sensor that allows an automatic timing advance when higher octane is used and retards timing as the octane used is lowered sucxh as regular grades.

Now whether it is cost effective for the mpg you should receive will depend on the price difference of the fuel choices and other factors
