Battery Light On/ A/C Hot

While driving yesterday, my car started to make a sound as if I was dragging something. I got out to look and found nothing, but water leaking from the front of car. I noticed the battery light had come on and the a/c had started running warm. Is the car safe to drive? I plan to take car to the mechanic in the morning.

Might not be safe to drive. Sounds like you broke a drive belt (accessory or serpentine belt) or maybe ate a waterpump and perhaps shed the belt. Never drive a car that is overheating.
