Disable security

I am considering purchasing a 2003 Cherokee Laredo. The vehicle acts as if the security system or anti-theft is active. Will start but dies after about 3 sec. There is no remote key or key with computer chip in it and a screw driver was jammed into the drivers side key entry. How do I disable alarm, andi-theft and bypass the ley lock, or can it be done with only one action?

    Hhmm, So its like stolen and they found they couldn't drive it and are trying to sell it?

    Or someone tried to steal it and the owner can't afford (or doesn't want) to fix it. Sounds like someone needs to get the Jeep to the dealer with proof of ownership and get a new key made and mated to the VIN.
