Don't worry about it...
Mini designs a couple of parts specifically to fall off throughout the life of the car. This gives the car a decidedly British-like build quality.
The Germans in charge made it too obvious, but you can't fault them for the effort.

Well all I can say is that having been an active reader of the North American Mortoring forum, which is the largest MINI forum, this is the first I've ever heard of this happening to anyone.

That vent pipe has a double purpose on the MINI - you are meant to use it to snug down the muffler bearings every couple o thousand miles.

That's actually a mini lug wrench for the mini wheels.
