Your articles about the 'Vette keep mentioning the limitations of the bias-ply tires. When will you make a concession to improved safety & performance by swapping on a set of modern radials?

Get some nice Low-Rolling Resistance tires and I'm sure you'll eek out 18 MPG!

Agreed; when it's time for new rubber (which I imagine won't be too long now), get some reasonably modern (but not too modern) radials and see what that does to overall performance.

We might get radials, we might not. The idea here is to test the car as close as we can to the condition it was in back in 1966. We did our track testing on bias plys, our ratings loop on bias plys and even a rally on bias plys -- all in the name of research. And a bit of fun.

keep it stock... if you put radials on then you will notice the limitations of the suspension, then when you upgrade that you will want fuel injection, then heated seats, next would be Sirius XM...
