The cooled seats in our 2015 Nissan Murano work so well you barely need the air conditioning.

If you feel like you don't need air conditioning because of the cooled seats it's not humid where you are. Try that here on the gulf coast and you would be a sweaty mess when you got to your destination.

Here in the arid desert, the cooled seats would be nice. I tested some ventilated (not air conditioned) seats a couple of months back in a Kia Soul and they felt great.

I grew up in N. Mississippi, and same thing as the Gulf or New Orleans - doesn't matter if the cooled seats soak you or not, you'll be a sweaty mess just walking from the car to your destination. So you may as well be a cool sweaty mess. :p

Are these seats actually cooled, or simply ventilated?

The manual says "The climate controlled seat warms up or cools down the front seat by blowing warm or cool air
from under the surface of the seat." That sounds like more than simple ventilation to me.

You can get a copy of the owner's manual free at Nissanusa.com.
