Our 2014 Mini Cooper handles great, but you pay for it with a stiff ride that grows tiresome on rough city streets.

The run-flat tires probably make the ride worse. Harder sidewalls and a heavier tire make for a rough time. If the car had Conti ExtremeContact DWs or Mich SuperSports, the ride and grip would be better.

Run flats? Ug! Wait till you find you get half the mileage and they cost twice as much to replace. And if you ever do run flat you need a new tire or 4. Never again will I have run flats. I also found I had to bump the pressure to get even wear, which makes the ride even worse.

those tires look pretty worn. impact harshness would certainly increase with a tire at the end of its life. i see it only has 16.5k miles, though. maybe the picture makes them look worse than they are?

Its the run flats. Awful tires, I swapped them off my 2003 cooper 6 miths after I bought car.

In terms of the Runflats, if I were planning on selling the car at low mileage (or if it were a lease), I'd have them removed in the beginning and keep them for resale time. As others mentioned, definitely not worth driving on.
