Which trim to buy on new Forester?

I'm planning to buy a new Forester in the next few weeks and I'm trying to decide on trim level. My only requirements are a moon roof and heated seats -- so I've eliminated the basic 2.5i -- and good gas mileage is also a priority. But I know nothing about car engines, so I'm having trouble distinguishing between the remaining trims: 2.5i Limited and Touring, and Premium trims.

Are there truly significant differences in gas mileage between the 2.5i Limited and Touring, and Premium trims? Do they drive differently?

Unless you get the 2.0 turbo engine, all of those vehicles will drive the same.. Get the one that has the options you want.

So, for me all the trims will be equal then. Is there a national new model search tool that will filter by trim and actually show prices? The Edmunds tool seem to require that you request a quote from each individual dealer. If that's the case, it's not much of a time saver.

You can drill down with the Make | Model tabs above and you'll see on the second page a couple of boxes. One's he Model (preselected with the Forester) and the other is the Style (aka "trim") with 8 styles listed for the 2016 Forester.

After you select your style, you can pick colors and options to get the MSRP and Invoice and TMV numbers. Hope this makes sense!
