Custom leather seats

I am looking to buy a 2015 RAV4 limited, but don't like the leather seat choices. How do I go about getting custom leather seats and how much should that cost?

Figure around $2,000+ if you go with something like Katzkin. Ask around locally for auto upholsterers; they could be a good bit cheaper. One advantage of going through your dealer would be the ability to wrap the cost into the financing, if you aren't paying cash for the RAV4.

Years ago, I bought a Saturn L300 that had cloth seats. I had the dealer recover them with leather in a custom color from Katzkin. Cost something like $1500 and was very pleased with the results. Had them add heating elements to them as well for these cold Colorado winters.

Just make sure there's no problem with any airbags in the seats. Some cars have them. Also, does the limited have heated/cooled seats? Need a VERY good shop to deal with all that correctly.
