edited July 2015 in Jeep
My defrost and heat are blowing cold air. I turn the heat dial all the way to hottest setting but still blows cold. The A/C is turned off. I checked the fuse for the heating system it works fine. The blowers are blowing fine. Just blowing cold.

First off I'd check to make absolutely sure your coolant level is at the correct level.

After that, I'd feel the upper and lower (entrance and exit) heater hoses at the firewall in the engine bay, to see if the coolant is hot going in AND out of the heater core. If only one of the hoses is hot (after running the engine for a while, of course) then you must have a blockage or a defective heater valve or module controlling the heater valve. If both hoses are hot, then there must be a stuck actuator for a blend door or diverter under the dashboard.
