Now, let me rephrase my proposition: If I can get the v6 with manual XMSN AND OPT OUT of the "high tech ADD" package, I will consider leaving German cars for an Accord.
Just to stay on my soap box a bit longer, you know we're being so fleeced as consumers it's not even funny, right? All this tech garbage (that actually makes it more difficult and dangerous) is about the same value as tech toys in the Dollar Store or Walmart, right? You realize these circuit boards and Kindle screens are mass produced in China for possibly a few dollars each, but soccer moms will pay top dollar (Thousands) for it because they're absolutely convinced this is a top quality vehicle. Never mind the hard, cheap, rattling plastic in them that most people never notice because they were too blinded by the tech toys. Now people who enjoy quality vehicles are stuck with this because profits point to these practices as the way to go. Just like someone pointed out with the Acuras, it was the automotive journalists who whined about lack of toys and now are whining about too many toys. Where does it end? Anyway, I look forward to researching this car further and hope I can get it in a REAL CAR version; you know, quality interior, comfortable, powerful, stir-your-own gearing, not that cheapo silver plastic protruding touch screen bezel. Just car stuff.
Soap box collapsed.
I was thrilled to buy a new Integra with no stereo at all and put in an aftermarket one way back in the day.
I also bought a Mustang LX 5.0 instead of the stupid GT that cost more to go slower with that Pep Boys looking stuff bolted on it.
I don't use Apple stuff either, but one common complaint with factory nav has always been that it's obsolete very soon. With your smartphone directly hooked up, that problem goes away. And you get free navigation, via smartphone.
