2015/2016 Mercedes C300 4Matic Lease Questions

Hi All~
I'm new here, and new to car leasing/buying process.
I'd like to lease Mercedes C300 4Matic, but I don't know which route to go for-- the base model or the one with good packages/options. The options are good to have, but I'll only need the navigation and rear view camera which means I'm good with the very base model with just the above two options (I want to save money).
However, I understand that how lease work is I'm paying the difference between the capitalized cost minus the residual value plus the money factor. Is it smarter to go with the base model or with the one that is well-equipped with a good amount of options/packages (I presume this will have better residual value? I may be wrong here)?
Is it possible to get my own lender for the leasing company, so I'll have a lower money factor?
Last question, should I go for 2016 or 2015? There is only $500 on the MSRP, but with the same monthly payment and down on the special offer page.
Thanks for your helps. I'm looking forward to driving my first Mercedes

If it were my money (but it's not), I'd lease exactly the car I want, with the color and options that I want. No sense spending $400-600 each month and be unsatisfied.
The residual game is actually opposite of what you think - higher trim cars often have lower residual values. Fortunately, this doesn't apply to MB since they don't have different numbers for different options.
I would suggest staying with MBFS for the bank on your lease - third party banks can have some nasty surprises waiting for you at the end - extra scrutiny on damage, tire wear, etc.
Better deals on the 2015's at the moment, but less selection.

I ordered a MY2016 C300 4Matic Sport with a MSRP of $60,265 (includes destination and delivery) and just got word that it has arrived. The dealer has already offered a $5,525 discount at the time of order, but I think I can get at least $6,500 off now. Can you please tell me the current numbers (MF and residual) for a 10k/36mo AND 7.5k/36mo lease? Also, are there any dealer cash or other incentives going on right now? Lastly, what should my monthly payment be (I'm in San Francisco, 8.75% sales tax), based on a $6,500 discount off of MSRP and $2,000 cash at delivery (used for first month's payment, taxes, registration, cap cost reduction, etc.)? Thank you very much in advance!!!
Using your MSRP and negotiated prices, I get a payment of $629/mo for 36/10 and $612/mo for 36/7.5 (with tax).

$2,000 cash down, $619 for 7.5k/36mo or $637 for 10k/36mo, tax included. I know the MF has been increased, but the discount is significant. What do you think? Is it a good deal? Thank you.
Does CA charge taxes on the monthly payment or entire amount?
Why does your cap cost have the taxes into it?
