Sorry. I double posted this here and in the Mazda lease thread. Regardless, the MSRP is $33,800 and its a 2016. I just want to know if it a good deal or if I need to push more. I'm new to leasing and I ran the numbers through the calculator(s) but I just want to make sure I'm not overpaying.

If you lease a $33,800 MSRP, with a price of $32,549, $1,000 down, lease case of $500 with a MF of .00013 and 58 percent residual, the lease payment for 36 months is about $325. To get to a lease payment of $390 before taxes, there would need to be about $2,450 in fees such as acquisition fee, sales tax, registration.

Why are you putting $1,000 down? It is rarely wise to put anything down on a lease, particularly with a MF of only .00013.

Thanks for the info. This is my first time leasing a car and I really appreciate the help. And you were right AWD, sorry for not including. A few quick follow-up questions.

1. I assume the MF you provided was meant to be .0001 not ".00001", correct?
2. Also, will the MF and residual change if I wait to lease in November, my guess is it will slightly?
3. Last, more of a general question. Since I am in the position to wait a few weeks before leasing a car, does it make more sense to wait until Thanksgiving time/Christmas time, which I understand is a time when car manufacturers offer good lease terms?

1. The MF is indeed .00001 (4 zeros)
2. Hard to predict what will happen to the numbers next month. Can't really get any better than .00001, however.
3. The 33 month lease numbers are excellent at the moment. Only way to make them better would be to increase the residual value or the amount of lease cash. Yes, you may be able to negotiate more off the sticker price during the holidays, but if the lease numbers change, the deal may be the same (or worse).
