2014 Dodge Dart Transmission / Clutch

Help needed.  I am an owner of a 2014 Dart manual transmission. At 30,000 miles I thought I was having a transmission problem.  I took my car to Dodge and they told me it was my clutch, fly wheel and several other things. My Dart was out of warranty ( over 12,000 miles). Dodge repaired it and said it was a courtesy and charged me $500. About 1500 miles later the same problem occurred and Dodge is now refusing to fix my vehicle because they say it is out of warranty and the first time was a courtesy. Dodge wants me to pay over $2000 to repair my Dart.  I believe that they should repair it because the new parts should be under a new 12,000 mile warranty.

Very confused and displeased anyone have any advice on what action I should take.  I thought about a laywer but not sure if I have grounds.

It would all depend on examining the "new" parts to see what happened. So did the clutch disk burn out, or ??? What are the symptoms?

Unfortunately I'm mechanically savy. All I can say is that I was going about 80mph and heard a loud pop tried to down shift and slow down and I could get my car out of 6 gear. Then the front wheels locked up and the car started smoking. But the smoke wasn't coming from the engine it was coming from the transmission. I turned the car off and waited about 30 minutes and restarted it. The engine started but could shift into any gear. The tow truck driver said the clutch feels fine it may be the transmission

I guess this can't be settled until the car is disassembled and the parts that the dealer put in are examined. If they are still in good shape, and the transmission itself is seized up, then I'm not sure you could prove that they did anything to cause that. I wonder if there's any oil in the transmission.

It's a mess and it's going to take some effort to straighten this out and get a clear picture.

Your right a mess it is. The biggest issue I am having is that Dodge is trying to say it is the cluth when I really feel it's the transmission and the won't repair it under warranty. And I can't take it to any where else because it they break it down it's going to void the warranty regardless of what they find

Forget what the tow truck driver said, there is no way to know just how knowledgeable he is beyond how to load your car onto the truck. It's difficult to understand exactly what you experienced based on what you wrote. It looks like you were probably saying that you are NOT mechanically savvy?
Were you able to shift it out of sixth gear or not when you first had this problem occur? Once it cooled down, are you saying that with the engine running you couldn't shift the transmission into any gear? If that is correct, could you shift it with the engine not running? If those statements describe the car's symptoms then that sounds like the clutch won't release. That means it has either suffered a mechanical failure of the pressure plate or clutch disc or else you could have a clutch master/slave cylinder, or throw-out bearing issue.

With multiple clutch failures at such low mileage one of the prime suspects is the driver and the drivers operating habits.

I have a 2014 Dodge Dart with 32000 miles and now all of the sudden the clutch seems to be slipping! Gas mileage is going down fast! At higher rpms the clutch engages but at lower rpms I can literally rev the engine while it is in gear as though the clutch has been disengaged ! Dealer says they will tear it down to see if the clutch is bad and if it is bad I pay if it is something other than clutch they will fix under warranty! I don't trust them!

Tonight driving back from Home from work luckily near my exit on the freeway or could have been very dangerous. My clutch stuck to the floor, I managed to get into 2nd gear and drove it home without stopping. Now the gears won't even move as well. The car only has 48,000 I'm the second owner I've only had the car about four months. This happened once before but I managed to get the clutch back up and working.  I feel this should be a recall issue as its seems like a manufacturers fault  this is potentially very dangerous. Who should I contact a lawyer or someone at Chysler.
Chysler should fix this problem before someone is injured.

I have a 1981 fiat x 1/9 with the same system its always a problem I change a master cylinder every year but that car is a hoot to drive. Anyone who ones a dart for any length of time will get familiar with this. The master cylinder for the x is about 25 dollars and ccan be changed in about an hour.
