Hello and thank you for your time.
I would like to transfer a v6 engine into my crv. I'm just not quite sure what model of what vehicles engine would fit into my truck. I know a 2012 honda crosstour and a 2013 acura rdx are similar to the crv. Would those be possible. If any other model would fit please feel free. I just started searching up on engines alike. Also another question. Would the transmission need to be replaced with the engine?
Thank you very much for your time.

I want to install the engine from a 1996, impala SS into a 1990 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck

Is there a complete wiring harness available for this swap? I want to use the engine and transmission from the Impala SS in the 1990 Chevrolet 1500 pickup. I want to use all of the computer technology from the Impala in the truck. I was hoping there was a plug-and-play wiring harness for this type of swap. Please let me know anything you can so I don't get it over my head.

That V6 engine swap into the CRV sounds just about financially impossible. Buy a used RDX if you want the V6.

As for the Chevy swap, completely different electronics required, harness, computer, sensors, everything. You might try posting this on a Chevy pickup forum, see if anyone there know.

I wouldn't attempt a swap like this unless I got all the details from someone who has actually done it and gone through the pain.

In my very, very limited experience, you don't take the newer electronics backwards... you adjust the newer donor engine to the old electronics in the vehicle you are swapping it into..

At least, it works that way with BMWs.
