    What's going on in the first picture? Looks like a three-lane tunnel superimposed on a two-lane country road. Weird.

    Had my F56 MINI parked next to my coworker's Ford Escape, and surprisingly, the wheelbases are virtually THE SAME!

    103.1" vs 99", apparently, but looked the same. How much difference could that make?

    If the wheelbase is of a certain length, it can cause a very unpleasant jounce or resonance as you ride over expansion joints. As in, even people who don't get carsick can be made nauseous. California has a lot of concrete highways, so this sensation can go on for many, many miles. I have found that longer-wheelbase cars can remedy the effect, but suspension and wheel/tire choice can mitigate the effects in smaller cars.
