I have a 1998 EXL AWD Honda CR-V and would like to change the stock head light bulb's to LED's is this possible and would it be worth the expense. After 17 years, my low beams are loosing their brightness. Would changing from stock to LED's make a big difference? Thanks for any replies.

Are you sure your headlight issue is not the clouding of your plastic lense from age. If they are etched and cloudy, you can buy a restorer kit at your auto parts store and do it yourself. Just a suggestion.

As noted, part of the problem might be with your clouding of your housing.. I would think upgrading to true LEDs might cost more than your '98 CR-V is worth. You can get aftermarket halogen bulbs that might help, though.

Like they said, make sure the lenses are clear, then I'd go with Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. They are brighter, don't last as long as stock though.
