1999 Explorer won't start, nothing happens
I have power, all lights come on, but when I turn the key nothing happens at all. No attempt, no clicking, nada...
This happened once about 3 weeks ago and the car started up after sitting for about 30-45 minutes.
Intermittently, it will start very slow... I can hear something turn slowly... then faster... then faster... then it'll finally start.
I'm thinking it's the solenoid because there's no attempt to crank at all, but I have power. Please confirm, or deny and point me in the right direction. Not mechanically inclined, but am going to have to get my hands dirty on this one as I can't afford a shop chase this issue and repair it.
