    Other cars that suffer from door panel grab handles mounted Too Far Forward that come to mind: Volvo S60 V60, Buick Regal, Ford Taurus, VW CC. See how the cars parked next to these models in parking lots are filled with door dings.

    It's a convertible, in SoCal. Drive with the top and windows down as you're supposed to do with a convertible and grab the top of the door to close it.

    2nd gen of Acura RL had the same issue. After many years, the existing handle might break off. So you have to be careful and not put too much pressure on it. This is only a problem for people who keep cars 10+ years.

    Looks like you never owned a BMW. That's just where the handles are and they work perfectly fine.
