2010 Tribute transmission problems
Perhaps someone out there has had this same problem and I am curious to know if that is the case...My 2010 Tribute has 114,000 miles and just recently has been displaying these problems. Upon coming to a stop (the automatic transmission down shifting) there is a heavy thud as though someone has smashed into me. It is as though the transmission just bypasses a few steps when down shifting and then just engages with a hard thud. I took it to the dealer, they plugged it into the computer and there are no error codes, and of course, not once did the Tribute act up while they drove it. They also told me that they had not experienced anything such as I described and was told to just drive it and when it does it again just bring it in. I took it to Aamco when it did it again since I was a block away and they too plugged it in and found nothing and once again it did not do it on the test drive. They told me it could be a pressure problem but, they again told me that everything looked good. Has anyone else seen these symptoms? Thanks.
