That sums it up right there. The reason the Ford Edge and Nissan Murano exist is to offer a more premium ownership experience than an Escape or Rogue would deliver.

Everything about Murano is premium when compared to Rogue or CR-V or any other compact crossover save for off-roading credentials. Small things apart from one listed above add true value to the price of Murano. The biggest difference being v6-cvt combo. it really elevates the driving. Those who dislike CVT should test drive this combo - very potent. After a long test drive i did end up buying it over its competitors like edge, GC and even pre-owned RX350.

I would venture that the Key difference between the Murano and the Rogue is the difference in space in the 2nd row, not the difference behind the 2nd row. They might have similar cargo carrying capacity with the seat up, but I would think that the Murano offers an extra couple of inches of leg room and perhaps a bit more shoulder room as well.
